RS 13688:2025

Our Internal Standard for General Workwear Quality

Not every garment is meant to be certified.
But every garment should be built responsibly.

RS 13688:2025 is Rameswar Udyog’s internal standard created to define how we design, manufacture, check, and release general workwear and industrial garments that do not claim protection under any specific statutory PPE standard.

It exists to ensure clarity, consistency, and discipline where external regulations intentionally remain broad.

What RS 13688:2025 Is

RS 13688:2025 is an internal quality standard developed, owned, and administered exclusively by us.

It sets internal benchmarks for:

  • Garment design and construction

  • Material suitability and consistency

  • Dimensional stability and durability

  • Labelling accuracy and information integrity

  • Suitability for general occupational use

The standard applies only to products approved under Rameswar Udyog’s internal norms.

RS 13688:2025 is not an ISO standard, CE or BIS certification, not issued or validated by any notified body and does not claim equivalence to EN ISO 13688 or any government regulation. Where mandatory compliance or third-party certification is required, those requirements apply independently. RS 13688:2025 operates strictly as an internal control framework.

Why RS 13688:2025 Was Created

General workwear often sits in a grey area.

It is not casual clothing, yet it does not always fall under fully certified PPE categories. In this space, the biggest risks are not regulatory non-compliance, but:

  • Over-promising performance

  • Inconsistent production quality

  • Poor durability in real working conditions

  • Misleading or incomplete labelling

RS 13688:2025 was created to eliminate these risks internally. It defines what we consider acceptable workmanship, repeatability, and honest representation before a product reaches a customer.

What the RS 13688:2025 Mark Represents

When a garment carries the RS 13688:2025 mark, it signifies that it has passed Rameswar Udyog’s internal review against defined criteria, including:

1. Design Suitability

Garments are reviewed for ergonomic balance, movement allowance, seam placement, and functional layout appropriate for general occupational use.

2. Material Control

Fabrics, sewing threads, trims, and accessories are assessed for consistency, compatibility, and suitability for the intended garment type.

3. Construction Quality

Internal rules define seam types, stitch density, reinforcements, finishing standards, and workmanship tolerances to ensure repeatable output.

4. Dimensional Stability

Internal washing and handling checks are used to evaluate shrinkage trends, shape retention, and seam integrity under expected conditions of use.

5. Labeling and Information Accuracy

Size, care instructions, composition, traceability, and intended-use statements are reviewed to ensure they reflect the actual garment supplied.

6. Risk-Based Positioning

RS 13688:2025 confirms that the garment is positioned strictly as general workwear, without implying certified protective performance.

Why Internal Standards Matter

External standards define what is allowed.
Our standards define what is tolerated.

RS 13688:2025 exists because we believe manufacturers must regulate themselves before regulators step in. It creates accountability within the production process and transparency for our customers.

Who Issues RS 13688:2025

RS 13688:2025 is issued solely by us.

Only products manufactured under our control/supervision/guidance, which follows all procedures, and approved through our quality system may carry this designation. The standard cannot be transferred, licensed, or applied by third parties without written authorisation and confirmation for each batch of product manufactured.

Ownership and Use of the RS 13688:2025 Mark

The RS 13688:2025 name, structure, and designation are the intellectual property of Rameswar Udyog. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or representation of the RS 13688:2025 mark without permission may constitute intellectual property infringement and may invite legal action. Any unauthorised use of the RS 13688:2025 mark is outside our control. We shall not be held responsible for any product, representation, claim, loss, or damage arising from such unauthorised use. Any person or entity becoming aware of misuse or unauthorised representation of the RS 13688:2025 mark is expected to inform us promptly. The mark exists to protect credibility, not dilute it.

Closing Perspective

RS 13688:2025 is not about replacing regulations. It is about filling the space they intentionally leave open.

It is our internal promise that every general workwear garment with the mark is designed, constructed, and described with discipline and honesty.

This promise begins inside the factory.
Long before it reaches the market.
